Here's what sets us apart from other ways of learning music:

Most piano teachers or music schools follow a specific method that is rigidly applied to every student in their studio regardless of age, experience, or musical goals. This method may work for some but not for others.  This means that students must either shop around to find a teacher who happens to use a method that works for them or, more often, they quit music lessons entirely, leaving disappointed and feeling as though they simply weren't talented enough to play an instrument. 

At Piano by Tina, we believe that everyone can play an instrument and meet their musical goals.  In fact, we are so sure of this that we specialize in teen and adult learners or those who have tried music lessons before and felt like they failed. 

Instead of starting with a method, we begin with the learner.  We begin with your goals and needs and we tailor your lessons and your schedule specifically for you. 

As an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) who has been teaching music to students aged 5 to 74 for over 20 years, Tina will meet with you at the beginning of your music learning journey to design your piano lessons plan specifically for you and your goals.  Together, you will choose the method that will create the foundation for your success and set benchmarks so that you can see your progress as you hit your goals.
